Never judge a book by its cover...

Okay, I'm starting over. I have accidentally deleted what I wrote. But this merit must be told.

*The above consists of photos taken from his MySpace page. Just to show how diverse this man really is. The song is the BlingQueenFashionz song he composed.

My day started at 6 a.m. with an espresso, checking e-mails, responding to sites I have subscribed for Bling Queen Fashionz, jumped in the shower, then went out the door. Keeping always a positive outlook and good spirits, of course. This time, a major hotel casino has appointed a meeting for Anna Moda at 10:30 a.m. Oh, another change! The stores clerk is now the buyer and the stock lady is now her assistant. I am blessed with a strong sense of humor; however, I have very low tolerance for incompetent people. I was sitting there, looking at the two with a stamped smile on my face wondering, after 26 years in the biz, what the heck I was doing there. So I cut it short excusing myself. I did have another meeting soon after with another major hotel. These meetings are more and more frequent. The essence is meeting with new buyers. I canceled and decided to RUN to Cytek Studios. I had some ideas for Bling Queen Fashionz, and simply needed to brainstorm with Sasha, the manager. Amongst other topics, we both decided flash intro is passe. People skip it anyway because there's no time. Ongoing music was a yes to place on the site. Instrumental? With lyrics? I would have to make that decision. Sasha was going to get me an estimate, rushed out, cell on hand to make and return calls, stopped by a small client to say, "hello." Actually, I dropped the small clients and am dealing with a bunch of corporate idiots that are replacing the seasoned buyers with inexperienced, low-budget people. Anyhow, it felt good having a quick cup of coffee with Gloria. I looked at the time.

I have to get home, look for some music, and check mails, etc. I barely walked in, slipping off my boots, and thought of going on MySpace for a minute to unwind. Amongst several messages, I see one that pops out from a bunch. A Myspace friend that always follows my blogs, and is very kind. I really don't have all the time to look through everybody's profile; however, I was drawn to open the message. It read, "was playing with my music.. can you look at my first track and tell me what you think?" I thought, "Man, these artists also have it hard. I'm not even in the music biz." Okay, as a courtesy, I did go. To my great surprise, this artist, Red Digital Recordings, Joe, made a song about BlingQueenFashionz!

I was touched, but truth be told, I'm really digging the tune! I went to his profile and Joe's photos portray a hardcore hip-hop artist.

Wait! Wait! His photos are so interesting and diverse, showing through a beautiful light of a sensitive soul. A loving man, for children, peace, animals, and his music. I was intrigued by its controversy. I read on, and here is what i found. (I am actually coping and pasting this)
"Thank-You for taking time for Red Digital Recordings at Myspace. I, Joe have been creating musical compositions since the age of small toddler. I have led the rhythm section of a marching band, played in a band that has traveled these United States, and all to experience my wanting to create different types of music for you! Although I usually create the More Dramatic side of Music, I can create any style you desire, I produce whole tracks
Why do I create these type of songs?
To encourage Love and Romance because there is an attack on it
the weak refuse to continue to Love, they say it's no more
but!!!!
Love still exists, it is just there for the proper match!
when two come together and they are meant they know it!
soul mates aint based upon sex!
it is a thing where the couple are equally yoked
if you have different religious views...maybe you ought to find another mate
if you have different morals find another
if you like money and the other likes spending it, find another
if you like sex and the other doesn't
please!
See where I'm getting at
I have learned there aint no changing anyone!
We are to meet someone that is already what we want!
Not a fixer Upper!
Holla!"

Joe is one of those friends on MySpace that truly care about who you are. A caring man that I had overlooked. I don't say this because of the song he gifted me with (THAT I LOVE!), but because I judged a book by its cover and not taking the time to open it to see there was beauty and pureness of heart.

Thank you Joe for teaching me that there are still good people out there. It is now 2:00 a.m. but this needed to be written.

Check out him out on MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/DarkRedRecords
